Somercotes Historic Accommodation and Cherry Orchard

Somercotes Homestead

Somercotes was settled in 1823 by Captain Samuel Horton and is one of a select number of Australian properties that has remained in continual family ownership.

With significant buildings and artefacts remaining, Somercotes is a site of rich personal and cultural heritage involving free settlers, bushrangers, indentured labourers, ticket of leave personnel and education and religious connections.
